Short And Sweet

Laura wasn't feeling well, so it's a Stephanie and Tyler episode this week! And it's surprisingly tangent free, so it made for a pretty short episode, especially compared to last week's.
Share time starts with Stephanie talking about her new Housewives binge and this time it's The Real Housewives of Miami and it's WAY better than Salt Lake City! Then Tyler simply laments the Texas heat and how it's only going to get worse.
We're only at part one of three of The Vanderpump Rules reunion and we're already wondering why it needs to be three parts, so that pretty much sums up how well that went. Then it's off to The Valley where it feels like things are finally starting to happen only for it to end at the good part YET AGAIN and probably won't even resolve well, just like every other cliffhanger this season. Survivor, as always, is the most entertaining of our shows and this week definitely didn't disappoint. And then between Tyler's awful memory and Stephanie being the only one smart enough to give up on the show, we stumble our way through recapping the EXTREMELY predictable finale of The Amazing Race and yet again pray that this is the end of the 90 minute episodes they've forced upon us.

Welcome To The Drunkcast

Tuesday May 14, 2024

Tuesday May 14, 2024

Laura and Tyler decided to keep Laura's birthday/graduation party going into this episode and had a drunkcast this week! Stephanie took the week off because she was definitely in need of a break, so we kept the party going!
Share Time starts with Laura talking about how her friends and family threw her a surprise birthday/graduation party after almost two months of not talking to her and Tyler talks about an unwelcomed guest into his apartment.
Then we take a long deep dive into this finale of Vanderpump Rules and talk about how possibly this whole Sandoval redemption arch was edited last minute with three short lines at the end of the episode and our reunion predictions. We're about ready to give up on The Valley because we think Bravo doesn't even believe in it. Followed by more simply prideful/greedy moves in Survivor leading to another elimination. Then we end on an extremely obscure baseball related episode of The Amazing Race that leads to a very funny deep dive for Laura and Tyler based off of old, fat, retired baseball players.

The Vanilla Coke Incident

Thursday May 09, 2024

Thursday May 09, 2024

Sorry for the late episode! Tyler forgot he didn't finish editing, but at least you're getting an episode just the same.
For Share Time, Laura tells us an epic tale about how drinking Vanilla Coke went horribly wrong for her. Stephanie watched The Idea of You and that leads us down a road of both One Direction, fan-fiction, and nepotism in Hollywood. And because Tyler both didn't prepare anything AND wanted to get on with the episode rather than go down yet another tangent, he simply holds up his coffee mug and lets you know that the Mothman believes in you.
Then its another recap of this weeks shows. We're still pretty over this really weird season of Vanderpump and everybody trying to make Tom Sandoval look like a good guy. The Valley was also pretty boring and it feels like they did a another cliffhanger for yet another wasted fight and, to EVERYONE'S surprise, Jax is kind of an ass. Survivor had one of the best moments in reality TV we'd seen in a while, corporate sponsorship be damned, and surprisingly kept the whole 90 minutes interesting rather than a bunch of filler. The Amazing Race on the other hand did not. But hey, at least we're out of South America and into The Carribean.... which isn't that far away....

Better Moods, Shorter Episodes

Tuesday Apr 30, 2024

Tuesday Apr 30, 2024

Last week was too hectic for us to get a chance to record, but we're back this week! And the vibes are better than they were last time. And there's a little bit of cleverness to the title this weeks because we're in better moods and that made this episode shorter, but we also talk about how the fatigue of these 90 minute episodes is finally hitting more than just us, so shorter episodes would surely put EVERYONE in better moods!
But first, it's share time. Laura tells us about an awards show she got a chance to host recently. Stephanie briefly talks about watching The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, but then pulls a fast one on us and instead talks about the movie Late Night With The Devil and makes Laura have no interest in it. And Tyler talks about the dumb mistake he made this morning.
Then it's off to some actually pretty good episodes of both Vanderpump Rules and The Valley and who's currently getting on our nerves on those shows. Then its onto the chaos that was this week's Survivor which is finally showing that we don't need these longer episodes. The we finish off with another lackluster, predictable episode of The Amazing Race.

Laura's Unhinged

Thursday Apr 18, 2024

Thursday Apr 18, 2024

After a nice string of well organized, decently timed episodes, we're back with another lengthy one because the vibes are weird and Laura's got a lot to say.
Starting off with her share time which is how she is currently obsessed with Lord of the Rings. Stephanie talks about how Gerry and Theresa are already divorcing a mere months after their marriage because neither wants to leave their family (if only someone had said that was going to happen while the show was airing, huh?) and Tyler thanks Laura for being one of the most supportive people when it comes to his music career.
Then it's on To Vanderpump Rules where everybody's still making us mad and questioning whether or not we want to keep watching this atrocious season, a quick stop in The Valley where its pretty much the same thing, another good episode of Survivor, and we gifure some stuff out about The Amazing Race to walk back some of the stuff we said last week as well as discuss which two of us would make a good team!

Water Is Everyone's Thing!

Monday Apr 08, 2024

Monday Apr 08, 2024

Man, something had all of us in weird moods this week; eclipses and retrogrades and all that. Nevertheless, we're here to talk about some reality TV yet again!
First is a super short share time. Laura's stressed AF and brings up Buffy for the first time in WEEKS and we just now realized it, Stephanie was NOT a fan of Charity and Dotun's April Fools prank, and Tyler was severely under-caffeinated going into the show.
Then we start with Vanderpump Rules where we discuss how Lala may have been conned by this "water sommelier" nonsense, we accidentally stumble across why she's been so un-Lala-ish in these last few episodes, and how we FINALLY got a good episode in this season. Then it's onto another underwhelming episode of The Valley. Followed by great episode of Survivor and then us being very confused about how we're 4 episodes into The Amazing Race and have only been to two countries. And maybe we have an idea of why that is.

This predictably boring season of The Bachelor is finally over, but of course it had to piss us off on it's way out.
Laura decided to randomly pick the order we went in share time because it's her birthday, so Stephanie starts us off with some more Summer House updates, Tyler talks about how he's a professional procrastinator and perfectly timed watching pretty much everything to be ready JUST in time to record this episode, then Laura relishes in the fact that she a tweet go viral over the last week.
Then we jump into our shows, starting with how The Bachelor's "shocking finale" was overhyped, just like we knew it would be. We breeze through Vanderpump Rules and The Valley because nothing really happened in either of them. Then we finish off with what happened on Survivor and The Amazing Race.

We're Learning And Growing

Tuesday Mar 26, 2024

Tuesday Mar 26, 2024

In a rare turn of events, we managed to squeeze FIVE shows into an hour and a half episode! Look at us, getting better at this stuff.
In a short and sweet share time, Tyler has nothing because he's on vacation, Laura discovered Dance Moms and that's been her latest obsession, and Stephanie catches us up on the drama with Lindsey and Carl on Summer House.
Then we get into a Bachelor Women Tell All that was slightly more interesting than the ones in the past and discuss what this "shocking" ending could end up being. Then we talk about possibly giving up on Vanderpump Rules because it has been BORING this season. The Valley premiered and it was nice to see some familiar, toxic faces to spice things up. Then we finish off with Survivor and The Amazing Race, neither of which should be 90 minute episodes and we'll die on that hill.

Get Off Of Baseball Already!

Monday Mar 11, 2024

Monday Mar 11, 2024

Check out the YouTube (@hotgarbagepod) for the blooper at the end!
The vibes were weird today, but somehow we manged to wrangle in Share Time so its not a majority of the episode! we change things up and Tyler starts it off being thankful about not having to manually change clocks in Daylight Savings Time. Then Laura and Stephanie split time by talking about Love is Blind and The Traitors respectively, as well as a nice visual surprise from Stephanie to Laura and Tyler (as well as the audience) that leads to Laura hijacking her share time too. Then it's onto yet another boring hometowns episode of The Bachelor with Laura bragging that she was right. Then we talk more about how Tom Sandoval is ruining our enjoyment of Vanderpump Rules, but how Brock was INCREDIBLE this episode. And then we end things with a brief recap of week two of Survivor and once again reiterate that 90 minutes is way too much for this show.

Laura Short Circuits

Tuesday Mar 05, 2024

Tuesday Mar 05, 2024

We have another lengthy sharetime this week, which is great because we also added another show to talk about too!
Stephanie catches us up on Summer House, The Traitors, and Love Is Blind. Laura tells us a story about how someone found a random baby picture of hers in the street, and Tyler talks about yet another sign that his Boston Red Sox are not going to be fun to watch this year.
Then it's onto The Bachelor, including some finale predictions. Followed by Vanderpump Rules, where Laura's brain breaks mid-thought. Then we finish it off with this season's premiere of Survivor!
